While my blog description gives you a brief idea of what my purpose is here, I thought I would briefly expand on the goals I hope to achieve over the next 24 months. The bottom line is that I want to move forward in my wine/spirits education and overall knowledge.

I've made every excuse in the book not to focus on my studies over the past five years, yet I hope that 2014 marks a change in my approach to tackling the professional certifications I wish to attain. Here's what I hope to accomplish by the middle of 2016:

• Obtain my Level III Advanced Certification from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust

• Obtain the level of CWE (Certified Wine Educator) from the Society of Wine Educators

• Obtain the level of CSS (Certified Specialist of Spirits) from the SWE

• Obtain the level of Advanced Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers 

• Begin coursework toward my Level IV Diploma Certification from the WSET
